Step 5: Activity Periods

Add the Activity subject to selected classes, assign it to a teacher, then schedule it using Subject Constraints—with optional concurrent teaching.

What are Activity periods?

Activity periods are dedicated slots for school activities (sports, clubs, skills, cultural activities, etc.). They often need to be placed at a specific time or applied to multiple classes. Timetables Pro gives you a flexible way to organize them without manual hassle.

1) Add the Activity subject to classes

Start from the Classes page, then click: Edit All Subjects .

  1. Enter the Activity subject details (name and number of periods as needed).
  2. Select the classes that should have Activity (for example: Middle School classes).
  3. Click Add Subject to apply Activity to the selected classes.
Helpful feature: The system provides Auto Fix if there is a conflict or a mismatch in period counts between subjects and classes—so your data stays consistent before generation.

2) Assign Activity to a teacher

After adding Activity to classes, assign it to the responsible teacher:

  1. Select the teacher in charge.
  2. Click Assign to open the subject list.
  3. Select the Activity subject to complete the link.

3) Schedule Activity using Subject Constraints

If you want Activity to appear at a specific time (day/period), use Subject Constraints:

  1. Go to the School Timetable section, then open: Subject Constraints .
  2. Click Add New Constraint.
  3. Choose the day and period number where Activity should be placed.
  4. Select the target classes (for example: Middle School classes).

Concurrent teaching (optional)

Enable Concurrent Teaching if the same teacher delivers one Activity session to multiple classes at the same time.

Note: This is especially useful for shared Activity sessions, giving your school full control and high flexibility without manual workarounds.
